Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, appreciates adoption of the Law on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2011" in part of social indicators of the budget.

 

In the interview to Rada channel on Friday, V.Lytvyn stated that it is for the first time that expenditures of the budget were increased by UAH 14 billion.

 

The Head of the Parliament declared that the primary benefit of the Law is increase of expenditures for social needs and implementation of socio-economic programs on the local level. "Everything else is political wars," he added.

 

V.Lytvyn stated that both the government and the people´s deputies expect the allocated funds to reach the aid recipients, as elections are coming. Moreover, the decision on raising social payments, such as pensions and wages of the public sector employees, should be passed in autumn.
