The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate and Ohio State University - Contractor of the U.S. Agency for International Development "The Parliamentary Development Project for Ukraine II - the Legislative Policy Development Program" (PDP II) have signed the Protocol on Cooperation.

Zaichuk, the Secretary General of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate, and the Director of the Program signed the Protocol on Cooperation between the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate and Ohio State University - Contractor of the U.S. Agency for International Development "The Parliamentary Development Project for Ukraine II - the Legislative Policy Development Program" (PDP II).
The subject of the protocol is entering into cooperation between the Parties and implementation of PDP II in the framework of the functions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate.
Ohio State University (hereafter University) shall facilitate the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate in rendering consultations, trainings, information and technical support to the People´s Deputies of Ukraine, Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and specialists of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate in accordance with the established procedure and pursuant to the directions coordinated by the Parties, recommendations on improvement raising effectiveness of techniques and methods of the public relations and counteractions with citizens unions, rendering organizational support to the procedural modernization of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate, shall render all the necessary informational and organizational support to provide the effective implementation of the cooperation directions; inform in time and implement relevant propositions in case some complications take place; provide participations of the specialists with appropriate qualification in events organized in the framework of the PDP II.
The participants of the meetings also shared their views regarding further development of the Internship League in direction of cooperation with the European structures, namely with Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
