The Committee on Judicial Policy met Tan Siong Thye, Chief District Judge of the Republic of Singapore

The meeting was held within the USAID project "Supremacy of Law" in cooperation with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Secretary of Committee Volodymyr Tolstenko and Chair of the Sub-Committee Elina Shyshkina thanked the foreign guests for the attention to the legislative process in Ukraine and essential aspects of the constitutional and legal reform in the country.

 

The Chief District Judge of the Republic of Singapore informed about the reforms and current state of the constitutional, legal and judicial system in Singapore. He also briefed on the current legal system of Singapore.

 

The Parties agreed to continue cooperation within the "Supremacy of Law" project, and launch several other projects to discuss pressing issues of the legal reform in Ukraine and further ways of its improvement.
