For the period, the Secretariate of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine received appeals of 1,3 thousand of the citizens of Ukraine, among which 718 were directed to V.M. Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
For the first six months of the current year, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine received 45874 propositions, appeals and complaints of the citizens that is on 4999 appeals less than for the relevant period of the last year.
During the first half of the year, the structural subdivisions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate refined 32063 appeals. Among them are problems connected with legislative support of law enforcement, rights and liberties protection (30, 3%); appeals regarding social protection (22,4%); financial, taxation and customs policy (18,1%); activity of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (5,1%), housing policy (3,0 %); labor and wages (2,9%), public utility services sector (2,8%), agrarian policy and land relations (2,6%).
For the period the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine received appeals of 15,5 thousand pensioners, 833 unemployed citizens, 281 entrepreneurs, 503 citizens deprived of freedom, 233 civil servants, 171 representatives of the religious organizations, 136 public servants, 77 workers, 74 students and 41 farmers.
Analyzing of parliamentary mail proved that senders reflected in their appeals a range of social relations, peculiarities of social, economic and political life of the state, attracted attention of the power bodies to the necessity of reformation in the state and overcoming internal economic and political problems.
As in previous periods the majority of appeals concerned legislative support of law enforcement, rights and liberties protection. For the indicated period the Parliament received 14151 letter of the above-mentioned content. Among them 8865 were scrutinized by the Citizens´ Applications Office, 4468 in Parliamentary Committees and 522 in Deputies Factions and groups.
In the course of the first 6 years of 2011 387 people visited 33 the personal reception, heals by the Parliamentary Board, members of the Parliamentary Committees, Chairmen Deputies Factions and their authorised persons. They handled 371 written requests and 72 oral requests.
All the propositions, appeals and motions of the citizens received by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine were scrutinized and directed to the relevant bodies of the state power, local self-government, prosecuting bodies and court.
