The committee secretariat reported that the committee scrutinized and drafted the opinions and proposals to the bills, and summarized the remarks and proposals concerning the drafts.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted eight bills submitted by the committee: March 15 - "On Amendments to several Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding State Social Aid to the Low-Income Families and Persons with Disabilities" (Reg. No. 3133-VI), April 19 "On Amendments to Clause 121 of the Code of Laws on Labour of Ukraine" (re Guarantees and Compensations during the Business Trips)" (Reg. No. 3231-VI); April 21 "On Amendments to Clause 8 of the Law "On Labour Remuneration" (re Regulation of Salary Fund of the Employees of Enterprises-Monopolists)" (Reg. No. 3258-VI); "On Amendments to Clause 1 of the Law "On the Compulsory State Social Unemployment Insurance" (Reg. No. 3277-VI); "On Amendments to the Law "On the Compulsory State Social Unemployment Insurance" (re Civil Defense Subdivisions) (Reg. No. 3280-VI).
On May 19, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the Law "On Amendments to several Laws of Ukraine regarding Increase of Budget Revenue of the Funds of Compulsory State Social Insurance" (Reg. No. 3385-VI), June 2 "On Amendments to Clauses 19 and 43 of the Law "On Labour Safety" (re Punitive Penalties) (Reg. No. 3458-VI), June 16 "On Amendments to Several Laws of Ukraine (re Procedure of granting Aid to the Families with Children and Low-Income Sections of the Population, and Strengthening of their Social Security)" (Reg. No. 3526-VI).
The committee members drafted the bills to strengthen the effective legislation on compulsory state social insurance, labour, state supervision and control over the implementation of laws on labour and labour safety, etc.
On April 13, the committee held the parliamentary hearings "On State Policy regarding Reimbursement and Compensation of Lost (Depreciated) Savings."
On April 20, the committee held an extended offsite meeting in Zhytomyr to discuss the bills "On Civil Service" and "On Legislative Support of the Pension Reform."
On June 23, the Committee on Social Policy and Labour held a round table discussion in Zaporizhzhia to discuss preservation of labour potential in the mining and smelting sector of Ukraine. Also, the Committee on Social Policy and Labour has analyzed implementation of the Law "On Social Dialogue in Ukraine" during the hearings in Zaporizhzhia.
The committee members received citizens in the public reception office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Most requests concerned social security, labour and wages, legitimacy and safety of labour, realization of civil rights and freedoms, etc.
