Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, appreciated the fact that the parliament amended the Tax Code of Ukraine to improve activity of the small business, as the opposition insisted. However, he believes that the parliament shall scrutinize the bill on amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding simplified taxation system, financial accounting and reporting for the small business subjects (Reg. No.8251) before summer holidays. M.Tomenko made this statement during the briefing on Thursday.
Mykola Tomenko announced that the Specialized Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has finished drafting the amendments to the Tax Code regarding simplified taxation system. Now the bill shall be reviewed by the Cabinet of Ministers. Mykola Tomenko stressed that the suggested amendments should support the small and mid-sized business after the amendments to the Tax Code which created a situation when thousands of people decided to terminate their business under the oppressing tax conditions. Thus, according to the Deputy Chairman, the opposition demands immediate scrutiny of amendments to the Tax Code, as small business can not endure the tax novations till September.
