Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn doubts that the Parliament will pass the draft resolution on early elections of Kyiv mayor and Kyiv city council.
In the interview to the journalists in the city of Novohrad Volynskyi (Zhytomyr region), V.Lytvyn characterized the draft resolution registered by People´s Deputy Volodymyr Yavorivskyi (BYuT-Batkivshchyna faction) as ‘a political move.´
"It is a political move in the form of a draft resolution which has the right to life as a legislative initiative of a People´s Deputy of Ukraine," V.Lytvyn stated. He believes that this document will not be adopted owing to ‘the legal, political and other issues not worth mentioning.´
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn supposes that early elections are unnecessary: "The city is busy working. Otherwise, some resolution might be passed."
