Dear colleagues! On request of the journalists, we specify the information about construction works in 70 Artema St. with which the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is allegedly connected. During the briefing, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn was asked whether the Verkhovna Rada is connected with construction of a residential house in 70 Artema St.
The building owner at the stated address is Kyiv home builder KZHBK. In the end of 2007, the building owner signed the agreement with the State Construction Works of the Executive Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as general contractor. However, after the conflict with the construction site escalated, the State Construction Works of the Executive Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine did not perform any construction works. Termination of the agreement is being considered, as this agreement is formal since the general contractor did not perform any construction works.
V.Lytvyn took up the post of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 2002-2006 for the first time; since December 2008 - for the second time.
