The Committee on Foreign Affairs recommends the Parliament to ratify the Loan Agreement (750 kV Zaporizka NPP - Kakhovska Transmission Line Project) between Ukraine and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development

Under the Loan Agreement (750 kV Zaporizka NPP Kakhovska Transmission Line Project) between Ukraine and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, signed on October 19, 2010 in Kyiv, Ukraine is granted a loan in the amount of EUR 175 million.

 

Pursuant to the Agreement, the minimum proceeds of a disbursement is EUR 100 000, the minimum repayment before maturity is EUR 5 000 000, the minimum sum of termination is EUR 500 000, the dates of interest expense are April 20 and October 20 annually.

 

Ratification of this Loan Agreement and its implementation will raise effectiveness, quality and reliability of electrical energy generation and transmission in the southern regions of Ukraine, which will benefit the national economy.
