Ukraine appreciates not so much the funds from the International Monetary Fund, as the positive signal that the country is implementing necessary reforms and transformations.

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn made this statement in the interview to the journalists in the city of Novohrad Volynskyi (Zhytomyr region).

V.Lytvyn is not concerned about postponement of the visit of IMF mission to Ukraine for several months. "I do not see any tragedy that the visit of IMF mission to Ukraine was postponed. I think that our negotiators ministers of finance and energy sector will provide more details," the Head of the Parliament stated.

According to V.Lytvyn, Ukraine appreciates not so much the funds from the International Monetary Fund, "which are not used, but are deposited to respective accounts", as the positive signal that the country is implementing necessary reforms and transformations. "It will allow Ukraine to cooperate with other global financial institutions," he added.

Along these lines, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reminded that the parliament is shortly to scrutinize technical specifications to the law on the pension reform, which then will be forwarded for the President of Ukraine to sign.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also visited the museum of history of medicine, and opened Х All-Ukrainian Football Tournament.
