The Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy and Nuclear Safety recommends the Parliament to adopt the Bill on Peculiarities of Nuclear Fuel Purchase

The bill (Reg. No.8709) sets out legal and economic basis of nuclear fuel purchase at the expense of the state funds.

 

Under the bill, the subjects of nuclear fuel purchase are nuclear materials, new fuel elements and fuel assemblies for nuclear piles, absorbers, services connected with produce of new fuel assemblies (fuel conversion, fuel enrichment and fabrication) and treatment of new fuel elements and fuel assemblies (transportation, storage and recycling).

 

Under the bill, purchase of nuclear fuel is effected at the expense of the state funds under the purchase procedure with one participant under the order set by the Law "On Public Procurement" taking into consideration peculiarities established by this Law.
