The Law strengthens responsibility for the infringements envisaged by parts 3 and 4 of clause 105 of the Forestry Code, and clauses 72 and 73 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements. Under the Law, damage to the forest inflicted by waste water, chemical substances, oil and oil products, industrial and public utility waste, waste products and garbage, which causes its drying or disease entails a penalty on the officials at the rate of fifty-eighty tax-free allowances; pollution of the forest entails a penalty on the citizens at the rate of ten-thirty tax-free allowances, and a penalty on the officials at the rate of thirty-seventy tax-free allowances.
