Under the bill (Reg. No.8546), the hearings shall be held on October 19, 2011.
The People's Deputies stressed that Ukraine is a state with a high level of tolerance. According to the committee members, integrity of the Ukrainian society is supported by the vast opportunity given for the national minorities to develop their uniqueness, language, culture and other needs. However, the speakers stressed that it is utterly necessary to develop the sphere of ethno-policy as one of its essential tasks is harmonization of relations between Ukrainian nation and national minorities.
