Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that Ukraine should implement the foreign policy which meets its interests. He made the foregoing statement at the briefing.
"Ukraine should implement the foreign policy which meets its fundamental interests and public preferences," V.Lytvyn stated. "The preferences of Ukrainian public, as well as their foreign policy priorities, are well-known. They should be taken into account in the Ukrainian politics."
According to the Head of the Ukrainian Parliament, none of the countries in the world implements a single-vector policy. "Everyone understands that in this complicated world one should cooperate wherever the economic or political interest of the state are concerned," V.Lytvyn stressed. "Speaking personally, Ukrainian politics should be selfish, if you will, it should consider the state needs."
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed that our country can not but consider the interests of its neighbours and strategic partners.
