Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and Jean- René Germanier, President of the National Council of Switzerland, signed the Memorandum on the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation.
The Parties adopted the decision on mutual consultations and assistance in the inter-parliamentary organizations and international parliamentary organizations.
The Parties also intend to exchange information on their activity, official documents and printed materials of the parliaments.
The Heads of both Parliaments agreed to facilitate development of parliamentary cooperation between the committees and commissions, as well as the exchange of parliamentary delegations.
The memorandum comes into effect upon signing it.
