To the journalists and Ukrainian mass media
Dear journalists - news-agents, broadcasters, employees of radio and internet media!
Please accept my sincere greetings on the occasion of your occupational holiday!
Deep meaning and social importance of the journalist´s vocation is perfectly characterized by the definition 'the fourth authority', since your work reflects our dynamic life. Mass media influence our reality, shaping mentality and environment of human existence.
Independent and sensible Ukrainian press is not simply a desirable fact remote in life. Freedom of speech has become an undeniable fact, one of the greatest achievements of Ukraine´s independence.
Despite the challenges, Ukrainian journalism has made a lodgement. We have a new generation of journalists, whose unlimited creativity censored only by the truth and respect of the readers and audience becomes an everyday norm and way of living. It is a key achievement of national journalism, which marks the Ukrainian media space.
I wish you well-being, inspiration and achievement of all goals.
