Mykola Tomenko: The First Stage of the Governmental Pension Reform has failed
Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, is convinced that the first stage of the pension reform has completely failed. He made the foregoing statement, commenting on the today´s recommitment of the notorious bill on pension reform (Reg. No.7455). As it is known, the Cabinet of Ministers appealed to the Parliament with a request to recall its bill "On Legislative Support of Pension Reform in Ukraine." Thus, the Verkhovna Rada met the government´s demand.
Mykola Tomenko reminded that the Cabinet of Ministers brought forward the foregoing bill on December 13, 2010, although it was heavily criticized and received negative feedback. Still, the Government was convinced that the given bill is harmonized and the Verkhovna Rada shall scrutinize it.
The Deputy Chairman stated that the Prime Minister managed to realize that the bill has no chances in the Parliament and in the Ukrainian society only after half a year.
