Mykola Tomenko suggests that the Parliament should scrutinize the Draft Resolution on Early Elections of Kyiv Mayor and Kyiv City Council. Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, made this statement at the meeting after the Conciliative Council.

"It is great that appointed by the President Head of Kyiv City Administration has finally understood that Kyiv has been plundered. It is good news that the President and Oleksandr Popov have finally understood it", stressed M. Tomenko. However, O. Popov announced that more than UAH 70 billion has been plundered by the officials of Kyiv State Administration, so "there would be no problems in initiating early lections of Kyiv mayor and Kyiv city council jointly with the Party of Regions." "Kyiv has been plundered by L. Chernovetskyi team, so it is obvious that these people have no moral right to be deputies of Kyiv city council", emphasized the politician.

The Deputy Chairman reminded that according to the Law, early elections of Kyiv mayor and Kyiv city council shall be held within 70 days upon adoption of the respective resolution.

Moreover, Mykola Tomenko emphasized that according to figures from a recent opinion poll, 89,9% of Kyiv citizens do not support activity of L. Chernovetskyi.
