On Wednesday, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met Amangeldy Zhumabayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Ukraine.
V. Lytvyn expressed gratitude to Mr. Ambassador for the considerable contribution into the development of friendly and fruitful relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Kazakhstan, and highly appreciated his efforts to strengthen partner mutually profitable bilateral cooperation in different spheres and directions. "We have the reasons to be content with the rate of cooperation between our states, although we are interested in active political dialogue in Kazakhstan", stated the Head of the Ukrainian Parliament.
Namely, the Chairman is convinced that the interplanetary cooperation between our states needs extra dynamics, since it has great potential of economic cooperation. Thus, according to him, it is necessary to strengthen cooperation between the parliaments of Ukraine and Kazakhstan on the level of the specialized committees.
Moreover, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada conveyed his gratitude to Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Kazakhstan Republic, for the participation in the International Conference on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Chornobyl Disaster and representatives of Kazakh parliament for the participation in the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko´s reburial. Support of your state is of special significance for us", he stressed.
A. Zhymabaev focused on the considerable achievements in cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Kazakhstan in aircraft industry, space sphere, agricultural industry, personnel training, etc. "I see the future of our relations only in the positive light of success", he emphasized.
Head of the Ukrainian Parliament awarded Mr. Zhumabayev with the Diploma of Honour of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and expressed his hopes that Mr. Ambassador would continue developing friendly inter-state relations in his new office.
