The Committee on Justice recommends the Parliament to adopt the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Judicial Proceedings and the Status of Judges" (re Order of disclosing the Tax Return Information of a Judge)

The bill (Reg. No.8288) improves the order of disclosing the tax return of a judge. The bill amends the Law "On Judicial Proceedings and Status of Judge" and obliges the judges to submit information on estate, income and financial obligations for the respective year under the legally established order.

 

Under the bill, the information on the place of judge´s residence, placement of fixed assets, also name and surname, and family members shall not be disclosed.

 

According to the parliamentarians, adoption of the bill will improve provisions of the effective legislation of Ukraine regarding disclosure of the tax return of a judge, and harmonize provisions of the Law "On Judicial Proceedings and Status of Judge" with the general concept of financial supervision.
