Опис : C:\Documents and Settings\annet\Desktop\3.jpgUkrainian-Polish relations are at the highest point of practical effectiveness.  Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, made this statement in the town of Berdychiv, speaking at the festivities dedicated to the celebration of the World Day of Polonia and Poles living abroad.  

 

Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, considers it symbolic that the World Day of Polonia and Poles living abroad is celebrated in Ukraine. "In Berdychiv, the breathing of age-long history of inter-state cooperation and relations is felt," he stated. 

 

V.Lytvyn appreciates the fact that the festivities are held in his small motherland. The Head of the Parliament stated that reflecting on his life and the past of Zhytomyr region, he understood that he grew up surrounded by people who did not divide themselves according to the nationalities, but lived as a single family, cherishing hard work, honesty and humanism.

 

V.Lytvyn declared that Ukrainian-Polish relations are at the highest point of practical effectiveness. "We have always wanted Ukraine to become an integral part of the global community, so Ukraine counts that Poland, which has found its place in the European Union, will understand Ukraine´s problems and pursuits," he stressed.

 

V.Lytvyn supposes that both countries contribute to the stability in the European continent. "We must talk about this on the eve of May 9, as peace and world have not become more stable and predictable," he stated. "We have a historical memory, and understand the ways of consolidating our states and the European home."

 

Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stressed, "Today´s festivities confirm that we have common history, common present, and a common promising future."

 

As it was reported, on May 6-7, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, takes part in the festivities dedicated to the celebration of the World Day of Polonia and Poles living abroad. The festivities take place in the cities of Vinnytsia and Berdychiv with the participation of Polish Senate Marshal Bogdan Borusewicz.
