The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Bill on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts regarding Sequestration connected with Terrorism Counteraction and Financial Operations suspended under the Decision based on the United Nations Security Council Resolution, and the Order of Access to such Assets

The bill (Reg. No.8224) regulates the order of freeze of terroristic assets and access to them in case of necessity to cover general or extra expenses. It also regulates the order of such actions to be performed by the state bodies, namely, the State Service of Financial Monitoring of Ukraine and Security Service of Ukraine.

 

The bill amends the Code of Administrative Procedure of Ukraine, and the Laws "On Terrorism Counteraction" and "On the Security Service of Ukraine." The bill supplements clause 1 of the Law "On Terrorism Counteraction" and defines the term ‘terroristic assets.´

 

The Law "On Terrorism Counteraction" is supplemented with new clauses 11-1 regarding termination of financial operations with terroristic assets and arrest of such assets, and with clause 11-2 on the order of access to the terroristic assets.
