The Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement recommends the Verkhovna Rada to adopt the Bill on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine in connection with the Ratification of the Second Additional Protocol to the European Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters

The bill (Reg. No8467) was submitted by the President of Ukraine and defined of high priority to be scrutinized unscheduled.

 

 Valeria Lutkivska, Government Commissioner for the European Court of Human Rights, stated that the bill is aimed at impelmentaion into the Ukrainian legislaiton of provision of the Second Additional Protocol to the European Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters. The bill shall forms the conditions necessary to provide effective cooperation of courts and law-enforcement agencies to investigate crimes.

 

Government Commissioner for the European Court of Human Rights declared that implementation of amendments shall eliminate drawbacks in national legislation in relevant sphere.
