The Law enhances the public access to the notarial activity by means of reforming the qualification notarial commissions system.
Thus, the Law transfers the functions of the qualification notarial commission under the Central Justice Department of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, central justice department in regions, Kyiv and Sevastopol cities to the Supreme qualification notarial commissions under the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
Pursuant to the Law, Supreme qualification notarial commissions under the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine hold the qualification exams for the right to be a notary; scrutinize and adopt the decisions on cancellation of a license for notarial activity; approve the issue of a license for notarial activity by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
