The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law "On Amendments to several Legislative Acts regarding Enhancement of the Licensing System in the Economic Sector"

The primary purpose of the Law is to bring the following procedure in line with the European standards: control over the observance of laws on the issue of licensing documents and use of administrative law for the infringements on the part of license issuing bodies (their officials), heads of the local councils or regional and /or Autonomous Republic of the Crimea subordinate bodies (their executive bodies), regional, district in Kyiv and Sevastopol cities state administrations, Sevastopol city state administration.

 

Under the Law, the planned inspection shall be held pursuant to the annual schedule (not more than once a year) adopted by the authorized body. It also envisages extraordinary inspections for the observance of legislative requirements on the issue of licensing documents by the state administrator and license issuing body (through the licensing centers).

 

Representatives of executive power bodies, local self-government bodies (their executive bodies), institutions and organizations can take part in the inspection by consent of the heads of respective bodies. Planned or extraordinary inspections shall not last more than five working days.
