Aircraft construction was declared to be one of the high tech and knowledge-based spheres of the Ukrainian industry.

 

According to Committee Chair N. Korolevska, one of the biggest problems for the aircraft construction enterprises is non-fulfillment of acts on the promotion of aircraft construction industry in Ukraine.

 

The People's Deputy drew attention to the great need in a new State Program for Aircraft Construction Industry Development in Ukraine till 2020, since a similar program was completed in 2010. The program supported the aircraft constructing enterprises and social security of their personnel.

 

The Committee members listed to the report of D. Kiva, President Chief Designer of Antonov State-Owned Enterprise on the situation in aircraft construction, technologies employed and coming projects.

 

According to the Committee members, the problems of Antonov State-Owned Enterprise are typical for the sphere and have negative influence on state economics. Thus, they should be settled immediately.

 

In the result of the discussion, the Committee recommends the Cabinet of Ministers to hold the Government's sitting to debate the issues on aircraft construction industry development in Ukraine. They deems necessary to draft a new State Program on Aircraft Construction Development in Ukraine for the period 2011-2010, providing financial support of new projects.
