Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, declares that a new system of voting in the session hall will be put into operation.
At the press conference in Yaremche town (Ivano-Frankivsk region) on Friday, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine was asked about the declaration of "Our Ukraine" party group concerning intentions to initiate resignation of the Head of the Parliament is he fails to put into operation a new system of voting in the session hall. Volodymyr Lytvyn responded, "One should not touch this matter since I do not accept any ultimatums."
"I hope that authors of this declaration will finally appear in the session hall and start fulfilling their duties", he added.
"Despite the fact that representatives of this political power are three years late, this system will be put into operation. I make their work instead of them. There is only one question, whether it should be put into operation according to the Decree of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine or a parliamentary resolution", Volodymyr Lytvyn explained.
V. Lytvyn announced that this issue was being scrutinized by the Central Judicial Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate. According to the Head of the Parliament, if the parliamentary resolution should be passed, the draft will be submitted next Monday, while in case of the Decree of the Chairman it will be signed after the system is tested.
"I am convinced that we should draw a line under this matter at last", he summed up.
