The Committee on Foreign Affairs recommends the Parliament to adopt the Bill on Amendments to Clause 4 of the Law "On the Order of Departure from Ukraine and Entry to Ukraine of the Citizens of Ukraine" (re Execution of Documents for Departure from the Country)

The bill (Reg. No. 7558) presents a new version of paragraph 3 of part 1 of clause 4 of the Law "On the Order of Departure from Ukraine and Entry to Ukraine of the Citizens of Ukraine", whereby diplomatic institutions of Ukraine are authorized to issue a passport of a citizen of Ukraine to the citizens of Ukraine who reside abroad permanently or temporarily and reached 16 years of age.   

 

Adoption of the bill will enable the citizens of Ukraine who reside abroad permanently or temporarily to obtain the passports of the citizens of Ukraine for the departure from the country at the foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine, strengthen the level of security of these citizens, and support implementation of the constitutional guarantee on state protection of citizens residing abroad.
