The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law on Amendments to several Laws of Ukraine (re Transactions with Property of the Minors and Counteraction to Corruption by the Issue of Permits by the Guardianship and Wardship Authority)

The bill (Reg. No.6189) amends the Civil and the Family Codes of Ukraine, and the Laws "On Fundamentals of Social Security of Homeless Adults and Children" and "On Protection of Childhood" to specify the order of transactions with the fixed property, and the property rights of minors.

 

Thus, clause 177 of the Family Code envisages that "wardship and guardianship authority issue a license on relevant transactions regarding proprietary interest of minors immediately after verification within a month and only if a right of a minor to housing is preserved."

 

The Law is supplemented with the principles, whereby the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine shall fix the order of activity of the wardship and guardianship authority.
