The bill (Reg. No.6418) presents a new version of clause 17 of the Law "On the Police", and sets a number of additional requirements for the persons enrolled to the police. The requirements concern age, education, military service, and knowledge of state language. The bill sets the duty for the graduates of Ministry on Internal Affairs Institutions who received education at the expense of the state budget funds, worked under the direction in police subdivisions and in order established by the Cabinet of Ministers.

Furthermore, it fixes the requirement, whereby the persons who were subjects of criminal responsibility except those declared not guilty by the court can not be enrolled to the police.

The Committee members upheld the bill, since its adoption will improve qualification of the police personnel.
