Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, made this statement at the press conference in Kharkiv on Friday.

"I hope that it will be tested and demonstrated in work next plenary week," V.Lytvyn stated, assuming that the testing may take place in the last working day of the current week.

According to the Head of the Parliament, deputies should be trained to use a new "Rada" system. V.Lytvyn projects that if an upgraded system of voting with a touch-sensitive button proves reliable, the system will shortly be put into operation. "I believe that the system will work, and it would be impossible to get round it," he stated.

V.Lytvyn calls for establishing a stricter control over the deputies´ attendance of the plenary meetings, when the important issues are scrutinized.  "The deputies should be present in the session hall," he stressed.

The Head of the Parliament informed about his intention to use other disciplinary measures, namely, to strengthen control over the compulsory registration in writing before the plenary meeting, and register of sick leaves. The data on deputies´ attendance should be published.

According to the Head of the Parliament, the title of the bill should be announced 15-20 minutes before its scrutiny.
