Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, expects the Law on Corruption Counteraction to be adopted on April 5.

V. Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, made this statement, meeting Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Ukraine John Tefft on Wednesday. He called for arranging a particular atmosphere in the society to make corruption impossible.

The Parties focused on the bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the military sphere. 

V. Lytvyn announced that the Parliament needed the Decree of the President of Ukraine regarding admission to the territory of Ukraine of subdivision of foreign troops for the participation in international military trainings. He supposed that the Parliament might scrutinize the said bill on April 5-8. 

Mr. Ambassador declared that assistance to Ukraine in the essential security matters, such as fighting maritime banditry and terrorism, was among the US priorities. Thus, the scheduled international military trainings include several to protect stadiums, as it is topical in the light of holding of the European Football Championship in 2012.
