During the meeting held at the request of the Azerbaijani Party, the participants discussed current political situation in Ukraine and development of bilateral inter-parliamentary relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Committee Chairman O. Bilorus focused on strengthening of the connections in the sphere of trade-economic relations, scientific-technical research, environmental protection, science, and education. He informed Mr. Ambassador on the situation with the formation of deputy groups of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Inter-Parliamentary Liaison with the Republic of Azerbaijan, emphasizing that this deputy union includes representatives of all political parties.
E. Madatli stated that inter-parliamentary contacts are essential for Azerbaijan, since bilateral Ukrainian-Azerbaijani relations are characterized by a great potential and perspectives of further development. He also hopes for further fruitful inter-state cooperation on the parliamentary level.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ukraine invited members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and deputy groups of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Inter-Parliamentary Liaison with the Republic of Azerbaijan to visit Azerbaijan.
