Mykola Tomenko: Day and Night are the Local Officials preparing Celebration of the First Anniversary of 'Czardom' of New Governors
Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stated that Ukraine is being prepared for the celebration of one-year anniversary of the newly-elected authorities. He reminded that one working year of the President and the Prime Minister had already finished. Now, the local officials are preparing to celebrate the anniversary of appointment of regional councils´ chairmen.
"According to media, day and night are the local officials preparing celebration of the first anniversary of 'czardom' of new so-called governors," stated M.Tomenko.
However, the Deputy Chairman is convinced that the real results prove at least two serious tasks the regional leaders had coped with. Firstly, M. Tomenko mentioned transferring of all the officials, public enterprises, schools and hospitals into the Party of Regions. Secondly, he singled out compilation of the list of ‘faithful´ and ‘unfaithful´ business entities and businessmen. ‘The faithful´ have no big problems and have access to the budget funds, while ‘the unfaithful´ are being derogated in their rights and frightened by numerous inspections until they agree with the general course of the party", admitted M. Tomenko.
As an example, Mykola Tomenko mentioned "Bohdan" company in Cherkasy that was announced persona non grata in the territory of the region, following which an enterprise with 1,5 thousand working personnel has changed its legal address and pays taxes in Kyiv instead of Cherkasy.
