Mykola Tomenko: Next Plenary Week the Opposition will demand amending the Budget to support the Disadvantaged Groups of Population

Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, made this statement, staying in Chernihiv region.

Dwelling upon the socio-economic situation in the country, Mykola Tomenko stated that growth of prices for the foodstuffs, increase of tariffs and high rates of inflation are the reasons for the opposition and the authorities to support the disadvantaged groups of population in this period. "The funds obtained from the privatization of "Ukrtelekom", which was the property of the Ukrainian State, should be allocated for the support of the disadvantaged groups of population," he stated. "Wages of teachers and minimum pensions should be raised since April 1."

Therefore, next plenary week the opposition will demand amending the budget to support the disadvantaged groups of population.
