The Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations recommends the Parliament to adopt the Bill on Organic Production in the Second Reading and in its Entirety

No. 7003) guarantees rational use of soil; healthcare and protection of the environment, as it gives impetus to the organic production in Ukraine, arranges favourable conditions for production and consumption of organic produce, and forms a comprehensive system of organic sector development in Ukraine.   

 

The bill sets the principles of the governmental policy and the fundamentals of organic production; determines the authorities of administration bodies; fixes the general requirements for production, processing and sale of organic produce.

 

People´s Deputies believe that adoption of the bill will raise the volume of production of the competitive agricultural produce, fill the domestic market with high-quality foodstuffs, and arrange prerequisites for the healthy lifestyle.
