The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed the Resolution "On the National Military Memorial Cemetery"

The draft (Reg. No. 8052) envisages establishing the National Military Memorial Cemetery and military cemeteries in the regional and district centers of Ukraine to commemorate the perished soldiers-liberators in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, participants of the war in Afghanistan, and other military conflicts, as well as those who died by the official duty performance; war veterans, combatants, military servicemen, and their family members, as well as other persons who committed heroic deeds for the sake of the Ukrainian people and performed special services to the Motherland.      

 

Under the bill, the State Budget of Ukraine for 2012 allocates funds to support development, construction and maintenance of the National Military Memorial Cemetery.
