Oleh Bilorus, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, met Amangeldy Zhumabayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine

The Parties discussed development of bilateral relations and prospects of cooperation aimed at the support and progress of the inter-parliamentary liaison between Ukraine and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

Committee Chairman Oleh Bilorus outlined the outlooks of cooperation with the Republic of Kazakhstan in the economic, financial and political spheres, called for extending economic relations, and answered the questions concerning political situation in Ukraine.

 

The Parties also assessed the results of the OSCE Summit which became the first move towards renewal of trust and mutual understanding between the leading countries, and was dedicated to the following security issues: reducing the level of conflicts in the area of responsibility of the OSCE by increasing attention to the matters of inter-ethnic and interfaith tolerance, consolidation of inviolability of law supremacy, respect for human rights and fundamental liberties, support of civil society, provision of economic liberties, social and environmental responsibility, and other important challenges facing the modern society.

 

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine stated that inter-parliamentary liaison was vitally important. He invited the Ukrainian Parliament members to visit the Republic of Kazakhstan as observers over the early presidential elections scheduled for April 3, 2011.
