Mykola Tomenko: I hope that Parks and Public Gardens in Kyiv will no longer be destroyed, but regenerated

Today, Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine together with other famous people and citizens of Obolon district in Kyiv, took part in the bedding of a new public garden.

 

Discussing the reasons for his participation in this event, Mykola Tomenko explained, "The mission of every citizen of either a small township or a big city is to contribute to the environmental protection and regeneration." "Thus in our native district Obolon, we are showing a good example for the residents of other districts that it is important not only to plant a tree but also to do something important for the nature", he added.

 

Moreover, M. Tomenko hopes that Kyiv authorities will finally start bedding new parks and public gardens. "Green zones of Kyiv have lately sustained considerable damage due to Kyiv authorities, so it is high time we started regeneration", he stressed.

 

The campaign was supported by Deputy of Kyiv Council Oleksandr Bryhynets, famous singer Anzhelika Rudnytska, singer Ivan Dorn, leader of NeDilia band Eduard Prystupa and other celebrities. Obolon district residents also joined the campaign, which was organized by "Snidanok z 1+1"TV program.
