The primary purpose of the Law is to introduce a more effective legal regulation of issues on activity of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Ministries as members of the Government.
The Law liquidates the institute of governmental bodies in the system of ministries, as well as the governmental committees in the system of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Furthermore, it is planned that the First Deputy Minister, Deputy Minister of Ukraine according to the Decree of the President shall head the ministry. It changes certain authorities of the Prime Minister of Ukraine, and introduces novelties in the activity of the Secretariate of the Cabinet of Ministers.
