The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law "On Amendments to the Law "On Implementation of Resolutions and Use of Practice of the European Court for Human Rights"

The bill improves the norms of the effective legislation regulating the executive decisions and use of practice of the European Court for Human Rights.

 

Under the Law, "a claimant is a) a person on the application of whom the European Court for Human Rights renders a decision or a judgment; b) his/her representative,  legal successor; c) a person (group of persons) subject of Ukraine obligations in international case."

 

The document changes a fixed three-day term for the certain measures to be taken to satisfy a judgment of the European Court into a ten-day term.

 

Moreover, a reason to complete enforcement proceedings upon the decision of the European Court is not only confirmation of writing off the recommendation sum but also conformation that other conditions defined by the substantive provisions 1 of this decision.
