The Committee on Industrial and Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship supports the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Printed Media (Press) in Ukraine" (re Enhancement of the State Registration of Printed Media)

Опис : C:\Documents and Settings\Имя\Рабочий стол\1.jpgThe bill (Reg. No.7011) specifies several provisions of the effective law concerning state registration of the printed media.

 

The bill regulates the use of the printed media titles, and the obligations of the founders to translate the title of a printed media into the Ukrainian language to prevent violation of the freedom of information.

 

The bill sets the legal grounds for invalidating the state registration of printed media, and harmonizes the terminology (‘invalidation of the state registration´). It excludes the issue ‘cessation of the application for registration terms´ to cut down the administrative procedures.

 

According to the Committee members, adoption of the bill will remove obstacles in the procedure of state registration of the published media, and facilitate realization of the civic rights on information.
