The Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy recommends the Parliament to adopt the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On the Customs Tariff of Ukraine" (re Rates for Wooden Production in the Form of Blocks and Granulates)

No. 8005) amends the Customs Tariff of Ukraine to exclude wooden production in the form of blocks and granulates from the commodity heading 4413 of the Ukrainian Classification of Goods for Foreign Economic Activity. The bill introduces this amendment, as it is necessary to lift a 20-per-cent VAT on the export of Ukrainian wooden production in the form of blocks and granulates, and increase its competitive ability in the foreign markets.

 

The Committee recommends the Parliament to adopt the bill as a basis, considering the fact that the change of the classification of commodities under the Ukrainian Classification of Goods for Foreign Economic Activity entails respective amendments to the international agreements of Ukraine.
