Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that there are already 310-320 votes in favour of amending the Constitution of Ukraine during the next parliamentary session. He made this statement during the official visit to the Republic of Turkey. "The support is viable, provided adoption of this decision will not inspire or provoke political turmoil in The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine," V.Lytvyn stated.
The Head of the Parliament supposes, "Under the conditions of closed ballot, there may be even 400 votes in favour of the constitutional amendments."
However, he believes that the People´s Deputies "demonstrate corporate solidarity and fulfill the orders to block The Verkhovna Rada." "There is an uncontrollable desire to hold the elections in the nearest time, so that some politicians could enter the Parliament," V.Lytvyn declared.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine calls for preventing the actions that destroy the Ukrainian Parliament. He supposes that The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine can resolve any issues concerning general matters or personalities, as well as adopt balanced resolutions.
