According to Vira Iliuchenko, Head of the Committee Secretariat, the Committee plans to pass decisions on 28 bills, the subject matter of which is within the Committee´s jurisdiction.
Thus, the Committee is going to consider the bills on amendments to the Law "On Notary Office" (Reg. No. No. 1286, 1286-2), and the bill on notary office (Reg. No.1286-1). The primary purpose of the latter bill is to guarantee effective out-of-court protection of legitimate rights and interests of the citizens, institutions, organizations, territorial communities and the state with due account of the unified principles, forms and methods of organization and performance of notarial activities, as well as to support international relations and cooperation of Ukraine.
The Committee will also scrutinize the bill on legal profession (Reg. No. 1430) that regulates the relations connected with advocacy, and sets the fundamentals of legal profession in Ukraine.
It is planned to consider the draft notarial procedure code (Reg. No. 3197), the primary purpose of which is to support effective out-of-court protection of legitimate civil rights and interests, set up a system of lasting legal guarantees of realization of indubitable rights of all business entities, guarantee legitimacy of notarial activities and observance of rights of the individuals involved in the notarial activities.
The Committee shall consider the bill on free legal assistance (Reg. No. 4406), the primary purpose of which is to define the contents of the right for legal assistance, the order of its realization, the grounds for and the procedure of rendering free legal assistance, respective authorities of the executive bodies, the order of appealing against the decisions, actions or inaction of the public authorities, local self-government bodies, and their officials concerning free legal assistance.
The People´s Deputies will also consider the bills on the normative-legal acts (Reg. No. No. 7409, 7409-1), the primary purpose of which is to form an effective legislative system, fixing unified requirements for the drafting and adoption of normative-legal acts, raising the standards of law-making, stabilizing legislation, and supporting strict observance of legality.
Jointly with the Ministry of Justice and the State Department on Adoption and Protection of the Children's Rights, the Committee is going to hold a round table discussion "Improvement of Civil and Family Laws in line with Development of Juvenile Justice in Ukraine."
