New Year and Christmas Greetings of Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
I send my sincere New Year and Christmas greetings to you!
Firstly, I wish you that these mirthful holidays bring you joy, comfort and welfare, while the coming year becomes the year of unity, concord and prosperity.
Each of us has been wondering about the outcome of the year that moves off to the past and the future promised by the coming year. This year was full of events, strenuous work, achievements and failures. It brought us the joy of discoveries and meetings, victories and gains, new professional and life experience. We have lived this year in different ways: joy and sorrow have intertwined in red and black threads in the linen of our life. Needless to say, we experienced mistakes, disappointments and losses, although, I believe that the Ukrainian democracy lost today to grow stronger tomorrow.
Advent of the new year grants us a possibility to cast a special glance at the competed work, think over the future plans, reflect upon the goals and priorities. I am convinced that in the year of the 20th anniversary of independence we will succeed in restoring the respect for Ukraine and ourselves.
During the New Year and Christmas holidays we can stay with our relatives, visit our parents and friends, and spend the time with the children. I believe that the next year will be better than the previous one, so I wish that we live in the country of stability and confidence in the future.
I wish you to meet the year 2011 with excitement, cheerful thoughts and good intentions. God bless every Ukrainian family! I wish you health, love and joy! May the family hearth warm our souls and hearts; may festive mood, welfare, peace and concord, confidence in the future, and belief in the lucky start come to your homes.
Mykola Tomenko
