The Committee on Family, Youth Policy, Sport and Tourism recommends the Verkhovna Rada to adopt the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Welfare Payments to the Families with Children" (re Payment of Maternity Grant)

No. 7521) fixes the maternity grant for the first child at the level of 30 rates of a minimum level subsistence; for the second child - 60 rates of a minimum level subsistence; for the third and each successive child - 120 rates of a minimum level subsistence.

 

The bill also extends the period for the maternity grant to be paid. The first payment at the level of 10 rates of a minimum level subsistence shall be effected by the birth of a child, while the rest of the maternity grant for the first child is payable on a monthly basis during the next 24 months; for the second child during 48 months; for the third and each successive child during 72 months in equal portions under the order established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
