The bill (Reg. No. 4593) amends the effective Law, broadening the principal tasks of state supervision and authority of the subject executive power bodies in the sphere of plants protection, and strengthening responsibility for infringements in this sphere.
Adjusting the bill for the second reading, the Committee received more than 20 amendments, most of which were taken into consideration.
The amendments supplemented clause 6 of the effective Law on fundamentals of the state supervision in the sphere of flora protection with the following paragraph: "establishment of state control over the observance of regulations on the use of chemical and agrichemical pesticides under the requirements of the plant quality certificates, and contents of chemical and agrichemical chemicals and heavy metals in agricultural produce."
According to the amendments, the licenses on import of plant-protecting agents are issued by the Central State Inspectorate on Plant Protection of Ukraine for each separate parcel of plant-protecting agents imported into the territory of Ukraine.
