The Parties discussed a wide range of issues concerning Ukrainian-Hungarian cooperation. Taras Chornovil, First Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, congratulated the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary on his appointment to office, and remarked on the dynamic character of relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Hungary. He declared that Ukrainian Party was ready for active inter-parliamentary cooperation.
The Parties singled out the priority areas of Ukrainian-Hungarian bilateral relations, called on their intensification, and declared mutual concern with the development of inter-state liaison between the legislative bodies of Ukraine and Hungary. They dwelled upon the development of cooperation in trade-economic and other sectors of mutual interest, support of European integration pursuit of Ukraine, and assistance of Hungary "in the implementation of successful political, social and economic transformations in Ukraine; opening of the possibilities of joining the EU and NATO."
The Parties also discussed the coming visit of the delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Hungarian Parliament scheduled for September 2011.
