Mykola Tomenko: Granting Political Asylum to Bohdan Danylyshyn demonstrates that Politics dominates Law in the Activity of Law Enforcement Agencies
Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, is convinced that granting political asylum to Bohdan Danylyshyn, former Minister of Economics, in Czech Republic, disputes work of the law-enforcements agencies of Ukraine.
"Adoption of this decision proves that persecutions in Ukraine are based on the political motives, rather than legal or economic ones", the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasized.
The reports of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine and the Deputy Prosecutor General in the Parliament stressed that all accusations are based on legal principles; thus granting political asylum to B. Danylyshyn disputes not only accusation against the former Minister of Economics, but also the accusations against other former public officials. "Institution of criminal cases clearly shows that politics dominates law and economy", Mykola Tomenko summed up.
